Does EffyTrack work with Qatar's existing school transport regulations?

Yes. EffyTrack is MOTC approved and compliant with Qatar’s IVMS mandate for commercial vehicles. Our team handles the compliance paperwork for your fleet registration renewal, so your school doesn’t need to deal with any of that directly. We’ve worked with both private and international schools in Qatar.

How many buses can the system handle?

There’s no upper limit. Whether your school runs 3 buses or 60, the platform handles it all from one dashboard. We’ve worked with single-campus schools and large multi-branch school groups across Qatar. Scaling up just means adding more devices — the software doesn’t change.

What happens if a bus loses GPS signal — say, in an underground car park?

The system switches automatically to LBS — Location Based Services using cell tower triangulation. It’s less precise than GPS but still gives a reliable position estimate. The last known GPS location is also stored, and as soon as the bus re-enters coverage the live tracking resumes instantly.

Can parents communicate with the driver through the app?

The parent app is designed as a read-only tracking tool — for safety and to avoid distracting drivers. Parents can see location, ETA, and get boarding alerts, but direct messaging to the driver goes through the school’s transport coordinator instead. This is intentional and keeps drivers focused on the road.

How long does it take to get everything running?

For most schools, we complete hardware installation within 1–2 days depending on fleet size. Configuration and testing takes another half day. Parent onboarding is done via a simple invite link the school sends out — most parents are set up within minutes. From first contact to fully live is usually under a week.
